Tree Care

Taking care of your trees is like putting money in the bank.  The Lawn Surgeons can put your trees on a regular maintenance program designed to promote health and vigor so that your trees can enjoy continuous vibrant growth.  We all know that preventing a problem is much less costly and more efficient than trying to cure one that has already developed.  The Lawn Surgeons will periodically inspect your trees for any signs of disease and distress and offer an effective program to keep them healthy.  The Lawn Surgeons will provide mulching, pruning, and fertilizing to keep your trees attractive and in excellent condition.  Since most trees grow slowly and can live for several hundred years protecting them makes good esthetic and investment sense.  The Lawn Surgeons want to care for the investment that you have in your trees and the investment that you have in your home.

Tree Inspection

Tree inspection is an evaluation tool The Lawn Surgeons use to detect any change in the tree’s health before the problem becomes too serious. The Lawn Surgeons will provide regular inspections of mature trees at least once a year and more often if there are any concerns about the health of a tree. Doing this can prevent or reduce the severity of future disease, insect, and environmental problems. Tree inspections involve examining four  characteristics of tree vigor: new leaves or buds, leaf size, twig growth, and absence of crown dieback (gradual death of the upper part of the tree).

The Lawn Surgeons will maintain a record over several years of the extension of new shoots such as buds or new leaves because this is a reliable way to determine if there is any change in the health of a tree.  Comparing from year to year is a good analytical tool.

The Lawn Surgeons will also look for trunk decay and crown dieback.  These are symptoms that a tree is not prospering as it should.  Loose bark and deformed growth are also indicators that all is not right.

Any abnormalities found during these inspections will be brought your attention and The Lawn Surgeons will carefully go over their plan to correct any deficiencies.

Shrub Care
